Hodges Figgis, Dublin

Hodges Figgis is no longer an independent bookshop — it is currently owned by Waterstones. However, as Ireland's oldest bookshop — it was founded in 1768 — and one of the best stocked stores, it would be an injustice not to include it here. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the selection of books is extensive.
